Production / Maintenance Supervisor in Tukwila, WA

-Continuously trains, develops and monitors all employees to ?make product right the first time.?
-Ensures compliance with GMP?s, sanitation and food safety plans.
-Creates and sustains a cohesive, positive and clean work environment.
-Ensures team member development and satisfaction.
-Provides team members with timely performance feedback. Serves as a technical expert and coach for team members.
-Supports team members in presenting ideas for improving efficiency and productivity of operations.
-Monitors production throughput and labor utilization to ensure smooth operation and minimize p roduct waste / excess overpack.
-Assures appropriate staffing to meet volume fluctuations.
-Proactively does PM?s and effectively troubleshoots equipment to maximize uptimes.
-Works with plant safety committee to ensure best safety and maintenance practices are followed.
-Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
-Implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product on shift.
-Demonstrates and supports development of a strong team environment.
-Supports all established plant and manufacturing goals and objectives. Apprises manager of team progress and any obstacles.
-Continuously problem solves for improvement of manufacturing systems and processes.
-3+ years of increasingly responsible leadership experience in a food production environment.
-Self-motivated with high personal standards.
-Knowledge of food production processes, quality assurance standards, and GMP?s.
-Team-building skills ? inspires followership
-Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
-Hands on experience in machine adjustment and preventive maintenance.
-Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt well to change and remain flexible to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
-Positive energy with can-do attitude.
-Basic math skills and proficient computer skills.
